More seriously though, you shouldn't be worried about the idea of another relationship somehow being 'wrong' because of the absence of someone else Akane. In any other place, sometimes...people leave. Maybe not because they want to, but the general understanding is that it's not fair to either side to expect one or the other to wait forever.
And for what it's worth, I think Connie would understand. Heck, if all three of you came to an agreement it'd probably wind up something like what I've got now! (Which is not too bad at all, to say the least)
i mean not the polly-whatsit thingy (which KINDA sounds like two-timing and what STUPID KUNO always wanted to do with me and ranma when ranma looks like a girl) but the not waiting for people thing
he said something that i could wait forever for ranma and ranma might never show up and connie could disappear and i'd regret never telling her i liked her
and i guess it's kind of true because one thing i don't regret at all is being girlfriends with connie for those months we were girlfriends
but it's been a year since i got here and connie's been gone for half of it and i still miss her SO MUCH but scorpia is very sweet and nice and she sung country routes with me at karaoke at the prom and it was SO NICE and she didn't complain about me kicking when we shared our bed at prom either
(it was a friends sharing thing with cassandra too because we were all victory road buddies together)
Two timing and poly-relationships are very different, trust me; the point is communication.
For example! If Jolyne had never told me about another girl she was interested in, and decided to pursue a relationship, that would be cheating, and two-timing! But instead, she talked to me and asked if I'd be open to either starting a relationship alongside her with that person, or even just 'sharing' so to speak.
I wound up going with the first one because honestly they're both great.
The point is though, all three of us agreed- that's what makes the difference. When someone wants and wants and wants for themselves to the detriment of another person's desires, that's where you're going wrong.
For this though, this would be a matter of choosing to wait or not so don't worry about all that unless someone actually appears. Right now, you don't have to rush into it. And honestly Scorpia's a sweet gal, she'll understand if you want to take things slow!

I think it might be good to talk to her from a distanced point of view. By that, I mean present the idea as if Scorpia were a third party while talking to her- specifically, the fact that you're worried about asking someone out not only because you know there's someone back home, and even in another world that you like, but Also because you know that they might have someone they like back home as well.
See how she reacts, and while I don't think it's necessarily a good idea to immediately admit it's her from there, it'll at least give you an idea of where to go later.
That's going to have to be the part where you take a gamble unfortunately. Once you're at least sure that she wouldn't judge someone for the idea, you'll know that if you ask later, and she does say no? It's not really anything that would've been in your control at that point. Sometimes people just prefer to stay friends, and that's okay!
The important part is not hyping yourself up for one thing or another- that just sets you up for disappointment.
