They are. I can't believe I'm grateful I got kidnapped again--but I almost think I am? Still waiting for the next shoe to drop and reveal this is just-- I don't know, a new and terrible version of Arcadia and I'm going to turn into a Pokemon? But the longer things go on, the more confident I am that it's not.

A lot of ghost types just seem to be 'ghosts' because they seem 'spooky' if I'm honest...I mean, Kyosuke is a giant magic robot for crying out loud!

I wonder if there's any that are calaca or calavera, even if they're not in this region. I'd love a ghost type that was one of those.

Calacas and calaveras are representations of skeletons and skulls, respectively. I just thought there ought to ghost-types that... well, look Mexican, really. Whatever counts for Mexico here.

Good point. And Jack's got to have gotten his Abuelita from *somewhere*. Which reminds me, I should probably put some more on the shopping list. If I'm going to be living here, it's not just the two of us that will be drinking it, but my ghosts too.

Melting chocolate to make proper hot chocolate with. I ought to bring it down for the ghosts. Mm, and get some flan as well.

Honestly, though, it's times like these when I wish my cooking skills weren't so basic. Normally I'm happy just getting takeout or letting Jack do it (like he did last night), but I feel like I ought to feed my ghosts properly and most of the foods the dead like best are ones I don't have a lot of experience with.

I mean basic cooking is still pretty good right? And you can like...work your way up from there, it's not like we have the same foods here anyway! I mean...there were certain rules for cooking with beef, or pork, or fish yeah?

And yes, Mexican hot chocolate is the best, Carly. Anglo hot chocolate doesn't even *compare*. When you visit us in Goldenrod next time, I'll make you some.

Oh, right, sorry. 'Anglo' just means... well, white English-speaking American? I, uh, don't usually use it as an adjective except with people I'm close to who aren't, well, that. Because people can take it wrong.

But basically, it's that stuff made from powder and water. No thanks.

Yeahhhhhh. I mean, cocoa powder has its place. I get that it's good for baking. But real hot chocolate is a thousand times better.
